Full Job Description
Position: Soap & Cosmetic Packaging Department Packer
Purpose: To pack soap or liquid products into cases.
Status: Reports to the Packaging Department Supervisor(s), Manager.
Scope: All Packaging Department activities at the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure proper cases are being used for the proper item.
· Check codes on all units or bottles.
· Watch lines for jams or bad products and shut equipment off, and inform Operator.
· Assist with colour changes.
· Have knowledge of product: specifications and general quality requirements.
Housekeeping:
· Ensure packaging area kept as orderly as possible.
· Scrape, sweep and mop floor in working area.
· Assist in general clean up when needed.
Team work:
· Liaison with other Line workers and general production staff to ensure that Safety, Quality and Harmony standards are maintained.
· Knowledge of products – what it would look like and general quality requirements.
· Knowledge of other line activities at any given time and general assistance needed to ensure the continuous flow of production.
Safety:
· Ensure that a safe and harmonious workplace is maintained at all times.
· Ensure all safety practices and guidelines are followed.
· Maintain an up to date knowledge of all health and safety hazards and regulations.
· Advise appropriate officials of any hazard or potential hazard immediately.

Loader Operator

Job Description and Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Loader Operator to work in the EVRAZ Bucks – Calgary facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Loader Operator will be responsible for safely transferring material and loading the material onto trucks. The candidate will need to certify internally to operate all mobile equipment.
- Offload material (cars, bales) coming from trucks
- Loading end dumps with material
- Operating the downstream MSS Order (Loading material into a Hopper and verifying)
- Ensure that the machine being used is clean, tidy, and properly inspected
- Transferring pipe from mill line to finishing machines, weigh scale, storage areas, rail cars, and transport trucks
- Transporting full and empty scrap boxes and garbage barrels
- Notifies Yard Superintendent of any mechanical or repair issues
- Observes and follows all safety rules and regulations
Job Requirements
- Minimum education level – completion of High School or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 Year of experience operating heavy motorized equipment or similar mobile equipment
- Strong communication skills – communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and over mobile radio devices
- Strong work ethic – uses time efficiently, works safely, and ensure everyone around him/her is working safely
- Excellent judgment as it pertains to the operation of powered mobile equipment
- Manual skill and comfort operating controls to control movement of machine
- Must have good depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and driving skills
- Responsible for mechanically handling and transporting material in a safe manner, free from defect and damage
- Operates crane/mobile equipment showing care for the equipment
- Strong attention to detail with close visual attention for sustained/long periods of time
- Safety conscious and orientated
- Adaptable to change
- Ability to operate a large forklift safely throughout the yard being keenly aware of surroundings
- Previous forklift operation preferred
- Comfortable working in all types of variable weather conditions
- Must be flexible to work 12 Hour Shifts on a Day and Night rotational shift basis
